Turns Business Information into Knowledge

Reporting rolls up by hand: manager to director to VP, each hop a person summarizing summaries. Fidelity is lost at every step and by the top nobody can trace a line back to what actually happened.

Akashic replaces the process. People submit to a manager they choose, each level consolidates the reports beneath it, and any line in any summary drills back to the original submission. Recurring themes are pulled out across submissions and attributed to author, unit and period.
